A liberal co-worker of mine exclaimed that she hated Governor Sarah Palin.

Blue Folder
I had someone hand me a blue folder today. I was in a hurry and thought that it said, ‘Accidental Health and Benefit Dismemberment Plan’

Look on the right side…
Yesterday I was sitting outside and saw a crumpled dollar bill on the pavement.
I thought about picking it up but decided not to. Besides, I had a dollar in my wallet already. Maybe someone would come along who needed it more than I did. I left it on the ground.
Today I was on the bus to work and sitting diagonally from me to my right was a guy half asleep. Thick wavy hair, facial scruff, dark blue denims, a black t-shirt under a denim vest, and low-top black Converse sneakers. Under his seat, I saw a half folded 20 dollar bill. If the guy gets up before I reach my stop, I’ll go pick it up. He doesn’t, and dozes some more. And it was my stop. I tapped him on the knee, ‘Look under your seat,’ I tell him. He blinks the sleep from his eyes and bends down.
He emerged, and mouthed ‘hey, thanks!’ pocketing the 20. I wished him good luck and exited the bus.
Maybe that $20 will turn things around for him if that’s what he needed.
Oh, and if you see a $100.00 bill on the ground, that one’s mine.
